This position reports to the Lead Network Development Engineer and will be join a team responsible for network development of the backbone and last mile infrastructure of KENET as well as providing campus network development advisory services.
Requirements for the Job
The ideal candidate shall have an electrical engineering degree from a recognized university and be registered or registrable as a professional engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya.
With at least 5 years of hands-on practical experience with design and implementation of large enterprise IP networks with a variety of layers 1 to 3 networking equipment.
The candidate should have some programming in Python or C, system automation experience using Ansible or Puppet and basic systems administration in Linux environment.
Industry certifications with different networking equipment vendors shall be an added advantage
