Main Purpose of the Job

This position reports to the Lead Network Development Engineer and will join a team responsible for network development of the backbone and last mile infrastructure of KENET as well as providing campus network development advisory services.

Requirements for the Job

The ideal candidate shall have an electrical engineering degree from a recognized university and be registered or registrable as a professional engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).

With at least 3 years relevant hands-on practical experience since graduation in network engineering, EBK graduate member.

The candidate should have some programming in Python or C, system automation experience using Ansible or Puppet and basic systems administration in Linux/Unix environment.

Industry certifications with different networking equipment vendors shall be an added advantage.

All candidates must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, high ethical and moral standards and capable of working in teams with limited supervision
